Photography:The author shares his thoughts and a few pictures.
Q: When did you first become interested in photography? CR: It was a natural adjunct to my early reporting years on a small, east Texas daily, when we had to take our own photos to accompany our stories. Q: You've also taken photos for your books? CR: It's come full circle, from my first writing job to my latest book. I took most of the photos, both in and out of the courtroom, for my true-crime book, The Good Wife.
Q: And now it's a serious hobby? CR: Yes, it can be a welcome relief from the printed page, and gives me a creative outlet for exploring nature and history, two other loves of mine. I've shared a few samples, below.
The Civil War reenactment, church and bandstand, and cypress knees were taken near Jefferson, Texas, where I grew up. The other three are "friends" who were nice enough to pose for me.
